In February 2021, Mackenzie Health opened Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Ontario, the first smart hospital in Canada, which is temporarily supporting the surge of COVID-19 patients in the province. Featuring fully integrated smart technology systems and medical devices, the new facility is uniquely positioned to provide an enhanced patient experience that supports real-time information exchange and enhanced infection control.

In this 60-minute roundtable, we will:

  • Share what inspired Mackenzie Health to build a smart hospital, including its drive to bring the smart technology that is so integrated into everyday life into the hospital environment and enhance the patient and clinician experience

  • Discuss the importance of remaining agile and flexible in the face of uncertainty and how the team at Mackenzie Health pivoted quickly to adapt their opening plans to include a COVID-19 response

  • Explore the benefits of smart technology and learn what Mackenzie Health has planned for the facility once it is able to resume standard care
