In February 2021, Mackenzie Health opened Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Ontario, the first smart hospital in Canada, to support the surge of COVID-19 patients in the province. It opened as a full-service community hospital on June 6, 2021.
Featuring fully integrated smart technology systems and medical devices, the new facility is uniquely positioned to provide an enhanced patient experience that supports real-time information exchange and enhanced infection control.
